Anthony Bennett is the road superintendent for the east side of Emanuel County, a position he has held for 10 years. A lifelong resident of Emanuel County and a graduate of Emanuel County Institute (ECI), Anthony brings decades of experience in equipment operation and public works to his role.
After high school, Anthony worked at the Screven County Correctional Institute and Road Department for seven years, serving as both a correctional officer and an equipment operator. He then spent 20 years with Webb Brothers Inc. in Twin City, where he honed his skills as an equipment operator, mechanic, and shop manager.
Anthony holds certifications in public works from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government and is Level 1A certified with Georgia Soil & Water Conservation. He is also a certified flagger and an active member of the American Public Works Association.
Anthony and his wife, Nancy, have one daughter and two grandsons, whom he affectionately calls his “grandboys.” In his free time, Anthony enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.
