Reminder Notices for 2025 Property Taxes Going in the Mail Soon

County News Posted on March 19, 2025

Propery Tax Reminder_03102025From your tax commissioner, Jessica Moran: if you haven’t paid your property taxes, they’re now past due and additional fees are coming. Reminder notices are being sent soon, and enforcement will be strict this year.

To pay your tax bill, go to the county's tax payment website or visit the tax commissioner’s office in person at 101 South Main Street (where you get your vehicle and trailer tags). They’re located in the Mitchell Building just off Highway 1 across from the fountain between the elections office and Leannas Café.

If you’ve moved recently, make sure your mailing address is up to date at the tax assessor’s office (upstairs from the tax commissioner’s office).

This year’s tax sale is set for Tuesday, November 4, at 10 AM on the courthouse steps. All past-due taxes must be paid before then or be sold that morning.

Questions about your tax bill should be directed to the tax commissioner or someone on her staff.

Don’t wait—handle it now and avoid extra fees!
