Emanuel County drivers, please be advised that Canoochee Garfield Road is temporarily closed from Canoochee Catfish to Mount Olivet Church Road. The approximately 1-mile closure went into effect during the afternoon hours of Sunday, April 27, due to a hole that developed in the middle of the road near the Canoochee Catfish end of the span.
On Monday, April 28, our public works team began assessing the situation. They are hopeful to have the road reopened by the end of the day. Stay tuned to our Facebook for information about re-opening. In the meantime, please plan accordingly and drive cautiously in the area.
