Cliff Gay

Finance Director Cliff Gay moved to Emanuel County, specifically Twin City, almost 50 years ago.

He went to high school at ECI, then got an associate degree in business from East Georgia. Cliff went on to get a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Georgia Southern.

His career in finance has spanned more than 20 years. He started as a staff auditor with the Georgia Department of Audits and worked his way up to senior auditor within about five years. Two years later, he moved on to his alma mater and became Vice President for Business Affairs at the local college. Cliff gave 13 and a half years of his life to that institution before joining the county in November 2023.

He and his wife, Judy, have been married for 41 years. They have three children, two of whom are married with the last engaged to be married as well. area. Cliff’s hobbies include spending time with his six grandchildren and farming.
