Donations

Although Emanuel County funds XX% of senior services and receives additional support from partners such as the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission's Area Agency on Aging (HOGARC AAA) and the Economic Opportunity Authority (EOA) of Augusta, the senior center still relies on donations to fully support its operations. These contributions ensure that vital services continue while allowing the center to expand activities and better serve the community.

Due to the center's government-related status, donors can specify how their contributions should be used. These preferences are honored to the best extent possible.

So, Why Donate?

Your support ensures that our senior community can continue to benefit from a variety of services, including:

Nutritious Meals

From congregate dining to Meals On Wheels, donations help cover the costs of providing healthy, dietician-approved meals to seniors, especially those who are homebound or facing financial hardship.

Enrichment Activities

From fitness classes and craft workshops to social events, your donation helps us maintain a diverse calendar of events that promote well-being, mental stimulation, and social engagement.

Facility Maintenance and Improvements

Contributions allow us to continue maintaining and updating our facility, ensuring it remains a safe and comfortable environment for our patrons.

Transportation Services

Help us keep our senior transportation program running so more seniors can safely travel to and from the center, medical appointments, and other important outings.

Donation Options

There are several ways you can contribute to Emanuel County Senior Services.

Monetary Donations

Direct financial contributions are the most flexible form of support, allowing us to allocate funds where they are needed most. You can donate monetary donations by mailing a check to 42 GA Highway 56 North, Swainsboro, GA 30401, or you can stop by the senior center during business hours to make your contribution in person.

In-Kind Donations

We also welcome in-kind donations, such as: art and craft supplies, exercise equipment, non-perishable snacks for events or meal delivery, seasonal decorations for the center, and so on.

For more details or to coordinate an in-kind donation, please contact the center directly.

Memorial or Honorary Donations

Consider making a donation in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone special. A gift of this nature not only supports the center’s mission but also serves as a meaningful tribute.

Legacy Giving

Include Emanuel County Senior Center in your estate planning to ensure your legacy supports local seniors for years to come. To discuss planned giving options, again, contact the senior center directly.

Every Dollar Counts

Your donation, no matter the size, makes a lasting impact. From providing meals to funding social programs, your generosity ensures that Emanuel County’s seniors can enjoy their golden years with dignity and joy.
