Fire Stations

Emanuel County’s fire protection system is built on a unique and collaborative structure, partnering closely with municipalities to provide comprehensive fire services. Seven of our 8 cities operate joint city-county fire stations, each equipped with both a city fire department number and a county fire department number. This setup strengthens our response capabilities while allowing each municipality some operational independence. Oak Park, the only exception, relies solely on a county fire department, making it distinct among the cities in Emanuel County.

In addition to these municipal stations, there are 5 county fire stations strategically located in unincorporated areas to ensure that all residents have access to rapid, reliable service across our vast 690 square miles. The placement of each station is designed to meet the needs of Emanuel County’s large and rural landscape, enabling our firefighters to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, no matter how remote.
