Payments for County Services
Emanuel County has numerous services that require payments, such as property taxes, facility rentals, and citations. This guide is designed to help you navigate the payment process and direct you to the appropriate resources for each service.
1. Identify Your Payment Type.
Payments may include property taxes, traffic citations, facility rentals, adoption fees, or donations. Each payment type has its own process, which is explained in the carousel below.

Elections & Voter Registration
- Payments: Qualifying fees
- How to Pay: In person only

Amounts: Fees vary by election and office. Example: $50 - $500
Tax Assessor's Office
- Payments: Recording fees for Agricultural Preferential Assessments and Conservation Use Valuation Assessments; timber harvesting permits
- How to Pay: In person only
- Payment Methods: Cash, card, check, or bond/letter of credit from a financial institution
- Amounts: Example: $35 recording fee; $0.10/ton for timber permits
Tax Commissioner's Office
- Payments: Property taxes, vehicle and equipment tags, and vehicle and mobile home titles
- How to Pay: Online at emanuelcountytax.com or in person
- Payment Methods: Cash, card, or check
- Amounts: Example: $1,500 for property taxes; $20 title fee
Recreation Department
- Payments: Registration fees for leagues and events; facility rentals
- How to Pay: Online via RecDesk for league play and event participation and in person for facility rentals

- Amounts: Example: $50 - $150 for leagues; $100/hour for facility rentals
Senior Services
- Payments: Self-pay for Meals On Wheels

County Extension
- Payments: Varner 4-H Center rental fees
- How to Pay: In person only
- Payment Methods: Money order only
- Amounts: $150 clubhouse deposit plus rental fees (prices vary)
Court System
(Superior, State, Juvenile, Magistrate, Probate)
- Payments: Court fees; traffic citations
- How to Pay: In person at the appropriate court for fees or online at payyourtix.com for Emanuel County Sheriff's Office and Georgia State Patrol traffic citations
- Payment Methods: Cash, card, or check for court fees and card for tickets
- Amounts: Example: $150 filing fee; citation amounts vary
Sheriff's Office
- Payments: Traffic citations
- How to Pay: Online at payyourtix.com
- Payment Methods: Card only for online payments
- Amounts: Citation amounts vary
Building Inspection & Code Enforcement
- Payments: Mobile home permits, construction permits, demolition permits, code violation citations.
- How to Pay: In person only after completing necessary paperwork for permits; call to schedule an appointment. For code violation citations, in person at the appropriate court.
- Payment Methods: Cash, card, or check
- Amounts: $75 demolition permit
- Office Hours: Open late until 5:30 PM, closes at noon on Fridays
Road Department
- Payments: Driveway pipe installation fees
- How to Pay: In person at the commissioners’ office or county shop
- Payment Methods: Cash, card, or check
- Amounts: $10/foot
Solid Waste
- Payments: Transfer station tipping fees
- How to Pay: Pay on-site at the transfer station (preferred) or at the commissioners’ office
- Payment Methods: Card or check (preferred)
- Amounts: $57.62/ton
Airport
- Payments: Hangar fees
- How to Pay: In person only

Chamber of Commerce
- Payments: Membership dues and event registration fees
